Encore for Fearnan Photo Exhibition

The exhibition of Fearnan’s history in photographs, maps and documents was opened on 16 October in the village’s McLean Hall by Shenac Kelloe, formally of the Tigh and Loan Hotel.
Residents were joined by many former residents for the occasion which turned into a big reunion for many of them, some of whom hadn’t seen each other since they were at Fearnan Primary School together. All were delighted with the quantity and quality of information in the exhibits; and the photographs jogged many memories.
Because the Hall was so full, there was so much to see and people spent a lot of time chatting and catching up with each other, a number of people were disappointed that the non permanent part of the exhibition was not available for longer.
It has been decided to present the whole exhibition again. The Mclean Hall will be open on 20 & 21 November from 2-4pm, to welcome browsers and answer questions.
The calendar “Fearnan Past and Present” was so successful it has had to be reprinted. It will be on sale at this second presentation of the exhibition in November and is also available from Sue Gardiner 01887830493.
