“With ten new programmes and presenters and with another two or three to come to air, this is the busiest schedule Heartland has ever had,” claims Bruce Patterson, the community radio services manager of Heartland FM.
The schedule (shown below) feature two new classical programmes, a folk, roots music show, garden tours, stories and ‘Tales from The Oman Navy’.
He added: “There are three new, live voices during daytime broadcasting and now on Friday, and with the exception of two hours, all the presenters are live from 8.00 through to 11.30pm.”

New Recruits Still Very Welcome
Bruce reckons that, with this fresh new schedule and its output streaming on line, it’s exciting times for our local station.
He continued: “Although this is a very full schedule we are still very keen to hear from anyone who wants to become involved in any way at all, whether behind the scenes or on air; but we particularly need more help with the admin side of the operation.”
