MeI never imagined for one minute that I would be doing an afternoon slot on my local radio station. But here I am doing Thursday lunchtime and soon to be Tuesday lunchtime as well! All it took was one phone call, some training ....and a lot of courage!
Having been a stay-at-home mum for quite a while now is has taken a lot for me to do it, but I have to say I have loved every minute - from meeting everyone at the studio to learning how it all works (I am not ashamed to admit I am pretty computer illiterate!)
Bruce Patterson has done a good job showing me the ropes because I think I am finally getting there, albeit with a few bumps along the way!
I hope to have a friendly, chatty vibe going on with the listeners of Heartland FM and lots of interaction – and obviously playing lots of good music too! It is early days for me, having only done four shows so far, but hopefully I will begin to get some regular listeners and then who knows.
