Its most successful season ever was set this year by Fortingall Art which, at a time of belt tightening and pound watching, took over £21,000 during the 10 days that its exhibition ran in the village.
All but three of its 28 exhibitors sold at least one exhibit and all the comments received throughout the exhibition were very complimentary, reported Sue Hoare.
Over 200 attended the Opening night and heard Howard Pearce speak about his very positive outlook for contemporary Scottish Art. A considerable quantity of artwork was sold on that evening.
“The variety on display, including jewellery, sculpture and photographs as well as paintings in many different media, was much commented upon,” said Sue.
“Fortingall Art is very grateful to Awards for All for its grant without which the exhibition would not have been possible. Highland Safaris also generously provided us with two marquees for the opening night.
“We are also most grateful to all those who came to view the exhibition - we had visitors from Germany, Australia, Canada and Holland and a significant number of pieces were sold to visitors from southern England.”
Sue added that the entries for the schools’ competition were much admired and offers made for a few of those them.
