Breadalbane Academy pupils Josh Al-Najar (S2) and Grace MacDonald (S6) are pictured receiving their ‘Young Writers’ awards from Perthshire Writers President Jim Waite, with Head Teacher Linda Swan.
Josh and Grace were delighted to win the Junior and Senior awards respectively in a prestigious Perthshire-wide poetry competition.
Both pupils are involved in a writing project run by the school's English department which aims to publish the work of young writers in the school and to develop some of the exciting talent that exists in all year groups.
Josh and Grace`s work, together with that of other talented pupils will appear in the collection “We Are Writers” due to be published in May at a cost of £5.
